A wedding very dear to my heart!

I have known Eska for almost her whole life. She became my next door neighbour when she was three – the prettiest little girl with such a gentle soul. When I started grade 12, she started grade 1 and I still have the picture we took together that day before school.

I use to babysit her and her brother, her mom and I use to work together and her father has the most infectious laugh that you can possible imagine! We have never lost contact over the years however we didn’t see each other often – it is just amazing how these bonds lasts!

When Eska asked me to be her wedding photographer, it was truly an honor.

On the day of the wedding, I just hear Kabous…. I knew instinctively that is was her father calling me – it was what my dad use to call me.

I was close to tears several times during the course of their wedding. When I helped to button up her dress, as her mom couldn’t hold back her tears, when I put her veil , and just simply being there to witness it all – the tears welled up!

During the ceremony I was smiling from ear to ear and even let out a celebratory scream during the “you may now kiss your bride”!

Eska you are truly a special person, your heart is so genuine and I am so absolutely happy for you and Ernst – you guys make the most perfect couple!
